The Minnesota Twins are playing good baseball through the first twelve games and now head to New York to take on the Yankees.
The Twins sit at 8-4 and will send right hander Joe Ryan to the hill, who had a solid 2022 season and has opened this year on a good note (2-0, 3,75 ERA in 2 starts). Ryan faced the Yankees once last season and lasted just four innings, giving up four runs on three hits and four walks.

The Yankees (8-4 also) have owned the Twins at home over the last five years and have been doing it with starting pitching, home runs, and a great bullpen. The same way this Yankee team has come out of the gate in 2023. The Yankees have homered in ten of eleven games, and Jhony Brito takes the mound with a 2-0 record and an Earned Run Average of 0.90 to begin his rookie campaign. The top end of the rotation and the bullpen rank amongst the top five in just about every pitching category through the first twelve games.
Minnesota does not have the greatest hitting lineup at the moment; They have struggled to score consistent runs in the early going of the 2023 season. Brito has shown his swing and miss arsenal, and this will be the first time the Twins face Brito. On the opposite side, Joe Ryan is not a high-volume strikeout guy, and this plays well into the contact + power hitting Yankees roster.
The lineup will find a way to produce runs, while Brito can keep the Twins bats down. Combine that with the Yankees bullpen arms and New York will get the job done. Taking the Yankees ML at -150.
For those who like a little extra juice…Yankees first 5 innings Run Line (+100). Whether the Yanks come out with hot bats from the start or must grind it out a little deeper into the game, The Yankees get the job done and get the victory. Yankees ML -150
