The Miami Heat have achieved the rare feat of winning both games on the road to start a series. Now the series is back in Miami and the Heat have full control. Much like the Nuggets last night, if Miami wins tonight, they will have a commanding 3-0 lead with a chance to win the Eastern Conference, at home. The Heat have been too disciplined for the streaky Celtics to close out a game.
The Heat are without question lead by Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. However a great defense, excellent coaching, and a perimeter player catching fire has led them to their two game advantage. Boston must perform better and play as a team. In game two Jayston Tatum was the only Celtic to have more than 16 points, 4 rebounds, or 3 assist. Neither a bad game game plan nor great defense is a viable excuse for that lack of effort. Especially since seven of the eight other players logged 23 minutes or more.
BETS OF THE NIGHT:
Jimmy Butler OVER 5.5 Assist (-130). Jimmy Butler has gone over this line in both games this series and four of his last five games. Butler touches the ball on almost every offensive possession of the fourth quarter, he draws double teams, and has high basketball IQ.
Jayson Tatum Most Points (-105). The lines are very tight across the board, and both of these teams are inconsistent with their scoring. Jayston Tatum is the best scorer on the floor though. He has had 30+ points in both games thus far, and he will need to be involved often and early for Boston to have a chance.
GOLDEN TRIANGLE:
Center – Cody Zeller is one of the cheapest DFS options. He out rebounded all but one Boston Celtic in game two, and did so with just 10 minutes of play. He is not going to lead your DFS team in points, but if earns 11+ fantasy points he has outplayed his bargain value.
Forward – Jayson Tatum was the lead Boston in the big three categories; Points, Rebounds, Assist. He is a must have for your line up today.
Guard -Jaylen Brown must have a bounce back game, Tatum can not do it alone. He played nowhere near his All-Star capabilities in game two. Brown has had six games in the playoffs with over 40 fantasy points. Trust him to improve on his 25 fantasy point performance.
This game is unpredictable but it appears the Celtics are unraveling. They have slipped past their opponents rather than plowing by as most pre season favorites do. Jimmy Butler is a top ten player of his generation, and if they win this series it leaves little debate to the topic. The same could be applied to to Coach Erik Spoelstra and his legacy. For Tatum and Brown of the Celtics, anything but an NBA Championship is unacceptable. The organization and the fanbase reign supreme in NBA lore, and expectations do not come down from the pinnacle. Game three should be a fun one to watch, enjoy!
