Running Back #32 – Alvin Kamara NO
Kamara is placed in fantasy football lore with 6 touchdowns (TD) on December 25th, 2020, all but securing a win for any who rostered him. He may be an all-time favorite, but his 2022 season was underwhelming. He has a new quarter back in D. Carr, and will be serving a three game suspension. Kamara had 1,387 yards from scrimmage but a career low 4 TDs It was also his first year to not be elected to the Pro Bowl. While a bounce back year seems plausible, the New Orleans Saints will utilized their acquired RB targets of J. Williams and K. Miller. Williams led the league in rushing TDs, and Miller is a fiery rookie. Kamara is entering his 7th NFL season and a running back by committee (RBBC) will likely be the Saints plan of action for the 2023 season.
A. Kamara’s ADP is currently all over the place, but with at maximum 14 games and a front office targeting other RBs do not be surprised if Kamara has lower volume. Although his TDs could improve upon 4 last year, his rushing yards are likely to decrease from 897. He has never had a 1,000 yard rushing season, and had less than 500 receiving yards the past two seasons. A regression in fantasy points is more likely than a progressive season. Draft Kamara at his appropriate ADP, but not above it.

Linebacker #32 – Eric Kendricks _ LAC
E. Kendricks has quietly been one of the most consistent linebackers (LB) in the NFL. Entering his 8th season he has never had less than 92 combined tackles, and that was his rookie season. He is on a new team, but the 2019 All-Pro is working with a defensive-minded head coach again. Derrick Ansley may be the new Defensive Coordinator, but Coach Staley will implement his defensive scheme and get the best out of his defensive unit. Kendricks finished last year with 87 solo tackles, the most of his career. He should be the centerpiece of their interior LBs, and has all-pro talent on the line and in the secondary. He should thrive in this defense and adjust quickly to the Chargers defense.
