Running Back 26 – D’Andre Swift PHI
Swift was once a top five hyped running back (RB), but his expectations have recently dropped. Not drastically as he still has an ADP in the top 75 overall, but years of inconsistent production, injuries, and a new team with a crowded backfield have some ‘thruthers’ doubting. He did not experience his best year last year, and did not put up any career numbers outside of games played (14) and games started (8). But let’s not forget, the Eagles traded for Swift, with clear intentions in mind. The backfield may be crowded, but a true split with fellow RBs R. Penny and K. Gainwell could do him some good.
Swift has never played all 17 games in a season, and this could be the first season he does. The Detroit Lions have an impressive offensive line, but most would say that the Philadelphia Eagles have a better one. Most would also say the Eagles have a better quarterback, wide receivers, tight end, and defense too. All of those advantages should help Swift turn in his career year. Swift has had spike weeks his entire career, and Philadelphia will be no different. Swift has huge upside in best ball leagues but do not be scared to get him in redrafts either.

Linebacker 26 – Cole Holcomb PIT
Swift is on a new team in the keystone state, and so is Cole Holcomb. Holcomb is coming off an injured year too, and looking to bounce back. Holcomb was having an amazing 2022 when he went out for the season. In his seven active games, only one had under 8 combined tackles. In his two healthy seasons, he achieved over 100 combined tackles, and was well on pace on his other two seasons. He has 10 passes defended, 3 interceptions, 15 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks in his career. It’s difficult to for an interior linebacker (LB) to be as well rounded as Holcomb is, and he has athletes all around him. M. Fitzpatrick, P. Peterson, TJ Watt, and C. Heyward have all been pro-bowl players and should make Holcomb’s job easier. If Myles Jack had success in Defensive Coordinator Teryl Austin’s defesne, than Holcomb should have well over 100 tackles. Grab Holcomb later than other LBs and have a plug and play LB with potential high scoring weeks.

Thank you for reading Mano y Mano. Check in tomorrow for RB & LB #25.
