Running Back 25 – Miles Sanders CAR
Miles Sanders finds himself on a new team despite wanting to leave his old team. He finds himself in a backfield with a rookie quarterback and a head coach on a new team. He had a career year in games (17), games started (15), rushing attempts (259), rushing yards (1,269), and touchdowns (11). Carolina’s offense is void of major playmakers and Sanders could be their best offensive player. His targets/touches should be close to 250 again this year, whether that lead to the production of last year is debatable. The Eagles had a better offensive line, better perimeter weapons, and a better offensive system.
His ADP in PPR, and half-point PPR. He is running back 48th pick in half point PPR, and 19th in PPR. Predicting M. Sanders final ranking is a bit all over the place, but his floor should be reliable for 2023. Feel comfortable drafting Sanders but be prepared for low weeks.
Linebacker 25 – Haason Reddick PHI
Hasson Reddick was my personal break out player of 2022 and he did deliver! He set career highs in gams played (17), games started (17), forced fumbles (5, tied with A. Highsmith for most in NFL), sacks (16), and QB hits (26). He earned his first ProBowl, first team All-Pro, and fourth in defensive player of the year. It is difficult to replicate career numbers and Reddick may not be able to do it this year. He will be a force again though, and even if he gets to 80% of stats of 2022 he will be a great roster addition.
The Eagles have several new starters on their defensive and have a new defensive coordinator but Reddick’s production should be independent of those factors. If he is listed as a defensive end (DE) in leagues he is a top five DE, if he is listed as a LB he is a top 25 and could surge into the top 15. Grab him and have a plug and play IDP for the 2023 season.
Thank you for reading Mano y Mano. Check in tomorrow for RB & LB #24.
