Week two ended with all our picks finishing as a top-12 defense. Week three looks like a more challenging week to stream our defenses. Several shaky teams are playing top defenses which are already rostered in most leagues. With a devastating injury to Nick Chubb, and several lesser injuries at the running back position, it may appear fruitful to target defenses against those teams. I urge you instead to target weak quarterbacks and offensive lines. This will lead to an increased opportunity for turnovers and a nice defensive floor. Here are my three defensive streamers for week three.

Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Chicago Bears)

ESPN: 10% Rostered Sleeper: 21% Rostered

Justin Fields looks lost…he lacks pocket presence and does not appear to read the defense very well. Fields has just 427 yards over two games with three interceptions and two touchdowns. He has also been sacked 10 times. Kansas City just held a much more powerful offense, the Jacksonville Jaguars, to nine total points. The Chiefs have five total sacks on the year, two forced fumbles, and two recoveries. With Chris Jones back on the field I expect Kansas City to have three or more sacks, a turnover, and to hold Chicago to under 21 points. This makes Kansas City an excellent streaming option for week three.

Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Houston Texans)

ESPN: 12% Rostered Sleeper: 13% Rostered

The Jacksonville Jaguars held the Kansas City Chiefs to 17 points in week two. To be fair, the Cheifs have not looked like themselves to start the season. With an injured Kelce and limited offensive weapon, they have not scored over 20 points in the first two weeks. That said, the Jaguars have five sacks, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries on the year. Jacksonville also tacked on two interceptions which leaves them as the eighth defense on the year. Jacksonville has an opportunity to creep up in the rankings both this week and next (vs. Atlanta Falcons). If I can get two weeks out of a streaming defense I will take it. This allows me the opportunity to save FAAB for more critical weeks later in the year.

Seattle Seahawks (vs. Carolina Panthers)

ESPN: 5% Rostered Sleeper: 14% Rostered

The Seattle Seahawks defense had an abysmal week one, scoring only one fantasy point. Seattle managed to bounce back against the Detroit Lions tallying up two sacks and an interception. Seattle forced two fumbles and recovered both while scoring a defensive touchdown. Bryce Young is off to a rocky start–throwing two touchdowns to two interceptions. Bryce also had one fumble on the year and has been sacked six times. The Carolina Panthers struggle to move the ball and have only scored 37 points over the last two games. Look for the offensive struggles to continue and for Seattle to capitalize as your week three defensive streamer.
