This is part of a series highlighting Latin people in the fantasy football industry. 21 of 30

Game day!!! Game day creates a feeling of anxiousness, a desire to speed through the day so we can get to the joys of the night. Today’s featured Latin in the Fantasy Football space may not be a content creator, but he is one of the sharpest minds and complete fantasy football general managers out there. We return to beautiful Brazil to feature the one and only, Fernando Timbo.

Fernando Timbo is an IDP guy through and through. Not to say he doesn’t enjoy the offensive side of the ball, but his heart is with the defenders. If you go to his X you will see several retweets regarding others who create IDP content. It is not just from one or two IDP content creators either, it is from several. You could say that Fernando is the unofficial marketing or advertiser for IDP in Brazil.

In addition to spreading the joy of IDP, Fernando keeps the content creators on their toes with deep dive questions. It could be a third string guy coming in for an injured person, or a rotational edge rusher against a bad offensive tackle, it could even be a rookie that hasn’t played a snap outside of special teams all season and you have to find out where he went to college, and find his stats to have an educated opinion… all facts. Anyone willing to go that far to get an answer keeps an eye like an eagle to the waiver wire and an ear to the most recent news. Fernando is an IDP hawk without question.

Fernando is also member of the IDP charity football league, Fantasy Football 7s (FF7s) and is his third year. He has made the playoffs the previous two years and he is a foundational piece of what makes it such a fun league. His rivalry with FF7s III Champion Bill Schuler is one of the greatest rivalries in any fantasy football league. In fact they played last week, their seventh meeting in three years… to of which were the playoffs.

Please go follow Fernando on X @fernandotimborj and do not hesitate to ask him about an IDP question.

Thank you for reading, please come back tomorrow as we highlight another Latin in the Fantasy Football Community.
