The Dallas Mavericks travel to Denver to play the Nuggets tonight at 8:00 PM. This is a play-in game, both are in the West B group, and what a game it will be. Luka Doncic has carried the Mavericks to their best start since 2004 and Kyrie Irving is returning tonight. The Denver Nuggets were absolutely destroyed by their rival, the Minnesota Timberwolves, but now are in the first of a four game home stretch. This match up is the marquee match for ESPN and as noted carries weight into the play in tournament. The players of the champions team receive a $500,000 bonus, and the team a trophy. There are competitive players on both teams, but this little extra could mean something.

Regardless of the play-in this match features two of the best, if not the best, basketball players in the world. Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic are perennial All-NBA players, playing on great teams with excellent coaches. The national media will be at the game, the 5280 City Edition jerseys will be worn by the Nuggets tonight too… It is more than just a game.

KCP has at least one steal a game, and in three games he has two or more. KCP has the third most steals in the league, and should be active tonight. Luka Doncic has sixteen turnovers on the season and Kyrie Irving is coming back from a multiple game absence due to injury. KCP plays over 31 minutes a game and will have opportunity to make these steals. Two steals are well within reach.
