Updated Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings WEEK 4

Thursday Night Football News/Injuries: Cowboys @ Giants

GIANTS INJURIES

Adoree’ Jackson Defensive Back – (Calf) ruled out for Thursday night’s matchup with the Cowboys.

Jackson did not participate in practice on Wednesday after being listed as a DNP on Monday, so it comes as no surprise that he will not be available for Thursday night’s divisional clash against the Cowboys. In his absence, look for Cor’Dale Flott to take on a larger role in the Giants’ secondary.

Darius Slayton Wide Receiver – (Thumb) is questionable for Thursday night’s matchup with the Cowboys.

Slayton briefly left the field during the closing moments of this past Sunday’s victory over Cleveland due to a thumb injury. Although his X-rays came back negative, he was listed as limited on the Giants’ practice report for both Monday and Tuesday, which means he’ll be heading into Thursday with a bit of a question mark. Keep your eyes peeled, as his status will be revealed about 90 minutes before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff—just in time for some last-minute lineup adjustments!

Dru Phillips Defensive Back(Calf) ruled out for Thursday night’s matchup with the Cowboys.

The rookie cornerback from Kentucky has been MIA in practice all week after suffering a calf injury during the Giants’ Week 3 triumph over the Browns. So, it’s not shock that he’ll be sitting out Thursday night’s showdown. With Phillips out for the Week 4 clash against the Cowboys, get ready for Isaiah Simmons to step into the spotlight and take on a bigger role with the Giants’ first-team defense. Time for Simmons to show he’s got the chops to keep the Cowboys at bay!

COWBOYS INJURIES

Caelen Carson Defensive Back – (Shoulder) is doubtful for Thursday night’s matchup with the Giants.

Carson has been riding the sidelines all week after appearing to take a shoulder hit during the Cowboys’ Week 3 showdown with the Ravens. The rookie cornerback has been a key player in Dallas’ secondary, but if he can’t lace up his cleats for Week 4, expect C.J. Goodwin to step in and take the spotlight with the first-team defense. Let’s hope Goodwin is ready to shine, because the Cowboys could use all hands on deck!

Markquese Bell Defensive Back – (Ankle) is doubtful for Thursday night’s matchup with the Giants.

Bell has been sidelined all week after rolling his ankle during the Cowboys’ Week 3 loss to the Ravens, so it’s no shocker that he won’t be suiting up for Thursday night’s game. If Bell is indeed out for Week 4, keep an eye on Israel Mukuamu, who’s set to step up and show what he’s got as one of Dallas’ reserve safeties. Looks like Mukuamu will have his chance to shine—let’s hope he’s ready to make some big plays!

TSA Hoops Predictions – Southeast Division: One Big After-party
Author: JR Thompson

[Excerpt]
We broke down the league for this season. Each record left its share of questions, but we whistled them all down to 3: What did the team do to improve? How does each team match up over all and with their starting 5? What is the biggest strength and weakness of each team? We broke down the league by division. Here are the results and questions for each team!

Southeast Division Winner: Miami

Miami Heat (45 – 37)

After digging themselves into a perpetual hole of “what if” with looming FA decisions, subpar season endings, allowing the Magic to quietly become the better team in Florida and not giving fans a clear idea on “how do we improve beyond Tyler Herro,” Miami pulls enough together to win the division. It’s going to take Jimmy B being better than last season, health for the overall team to improve and for Bam Adebayo to be the exact, if not, better player from last season in order for this to happen.
