I told you Week 11 wouldn’t disappoint! Now that every team has faced defeat, thank you, Bills! We move on to the next chapter of the NFL season. Which teams, like the Chargers, are poised for a late November push. Or there are some teams like the 49ers that needs to take advice from Archie Bell and the Drells’ and “Tighten Up.”   Either way, it’s guaranteed to be entertaining, so cozy up and get your popcorn ready!

In Volume 10 of *Boosting Your Return Game*, we discussed Keaton Mitchell and Pierre Strong. However, the Browns made a surprising move by assigning Jerome Ford to special teams duties last week, while Strong struggled with another disappointing performance. In contrast, Keaton Mitchell had a solid outing, scoring 15.8 points in the Scott Fish Bowl (SFB14) in Week 11, despite only receiving touches in the kick return game. He returned three kicks for a total of 79 yards. Week 11 marked the first time this season that no team allowed five kick returns to opposing teams. With the playoffs approaching, let’s see if these two can help boost your return game this week.

Austin Ekeler

First off, congratulations on making it to the Scott Fish Bowl 14 (SFB14) playoffs! If you didn’t make it, there’s always next year. At this point, let’s face it: if you are still searching the waiver wire for players, your team might be in trouble. However, there is one player we will discuss later. This week, I’m choosing Austin Ekeler as a must-start. He has been phenomenal over the last three weeks, averaging 33 points per game during that stretch in SFB14 leagues. This is especially important this week, as we face six teams on bye this week. You’ll be missing players like Bijan Robinson, Chase Brown, and Alvin Kamara.  Ekeler is playing against the Cowboys this week, and interestingly enough, he has never scored a touchdown against them. However, the Cowboys allow the third-most yards to kick returners, and Ekeler has returned kicks in each game this season.  Given the Cowboys’ recent performances, this presents another opportunity for Ekeler to score some more fantasy points this week.

Tyler Goodson

If you’re looking for a player to pick up off the waiver wire this week, consider Tyler Goodson. Last week, he recorded 71 kick return yards against the struggling Jets. This week, the Colts face a tough opponent in the Lions, who are dominating their competition. While Goodson might be a last resort, he is worth considering, especially with several teams on bye this week.  In his limited opportunities, he’s also shown a bit of potential in the passing game. As the Colts attempt to keep up with the Lions, they may rely on Goodson more. Additionally, if the game gets out of hand and the Colts are forced to play catch-up, Goodson could benefit from increased touches. Currently, he is rostered in just 2% of Sleeper leagues.
