With the 2025 NFL Draft only a few days away I wanted to share my final 7 round mock draft with all of you!  The first round includes a brief write-up for each pick.  Be sure to let me know some of your favorite selections in the comment section.

Round 1:

1. Titans: Cam Ward QB, Titans

The Titans were not active in the veteran QB market.  All signs point to Cam Ward going #1 overall and replacing Will Levis as the Tennessee Titans next starting QB.

2. Browns: Travis Hunter WR/CB, Colorado

The Browns did a patch job at QB by bringing in both Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.  I fully expect them to draft a QB later on.  However, they will select Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter with this pick.  He has the ability to play both WR and CB.  All signs lean to him playing primarily at WR for the Browns.

3. Abdul Carter EDGE, Penn St.

The Giants addressed the QB position in the short term by signing both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.  This allows them to draft the best player available in Abdul Carter.  Yes, I know they already have both Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux on their roster, but you can never truly have too many good EDGE rushers.

4. Patriots: Mason Graham DT, Michigan

The Patriots are a team who would love to trade back as they currently have many holes on their roster.  The big debate here is whether to go with the best player available or address a position of need.  In this case I chose to go best player available with Mason Graham.  They signed Milton Williams this offseason, but there is still some uncertainty around the long term health of Christian Barmore.

5. Jaguars: Tetaroia McMillan WR, Arizona

Brian Thomas Jr. was great as a rookie.  On the other side the Jaguars moved on from Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis underwhelmed in his first year in Duval.  They added Dyami Brown this offseason, but he has yet to produce in a meaningful way at the NFL Level.  Adding Tetaroia McMillan gives Trevor Lawrence two big body receiving options for the foreseeable future.

6. Raiders: Ashton Jeanty RB, Boise St.

The Raiders could use more playmakers on offense in addition to TE Brock Bowers.  Adding Ashton Jeanty is a clear upgrade to what they ran out at RB in 2024 with Zamir White, Alexander Mattison, Ameer Abdullah, Sincere McCormick and Dylan Laube.

7. Jets: Armand Membou RT, Missouri

Morgan Moses moved on to the Patriots in Free Agency.  The Jets will draft his replacement here in Armand Membou and complete their offensive line.  New head coach Aaron Glenn got to see first hand the benefits of having a strong offensive line while with the Detroit Lions.

8. Panther: Tyler Warren TE, Penn St.

While many are expecting the Panthers to go defense here in the first round, I bucked that trend by taking Tyler Warren.  Yes, Ja’Tavion Sanders was alright as a rookie, but this team needs more pass catching options around Bryce Young.  Warren gives them a do it all option on offense.

9. Saints: Will Campbell OL, LSU

Ryan Ramczyk missed all of the 2024 season and has since retired.  Trevor Penning has not lived up to expectations.  While the Saints drafted Taliese Fuaga in 2024, they still have multiple holes along their offensive line.

10. Bears: Shemar Stewart EDGE, Texas A&M

After dominating the NFL Combine and posting a relative athletic score (RAS) of 10.00.  Shemar Stewart should hear his name called early on draft day.  The Bears have a need across from Montez Sweat and Stewart fits the mold that new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen typically looks for.

11. 49ers: Jahdae Barron CB, Texas

The 49ers have been very active in cutting cap this offseason.  Charvarius Ward left in free agency leaving a void at CB.  Jahdae Barron is a very versatile player with experience at safety, nickel and outside corner.  He also is a nice scheme fit for the 49ers defense.

12. Cowboys: Kelvin Banks Jr. OT, Texas

Drafting Kelvin Banks Jr. would allow the Cowboys to move Tyler Guyton back to his natural position of RT and potentially move Terence Steel to guard to replace Zack Martin.

13. Dolphins: Josh Simmons OT, Ohio St.

The Dolphins currently have a hole at LT following the retirement of Terron Armstead.  Adding a talented tackle here in Josh Simmons is a clear solution for the future of that position.  If Patrick Paul takes a step forward they can flip Simmons to RT or give him some additional time to heal from his knee injury.

14. Colts: Jihaad Campbell LB, Alabama

The Colts have a need at LB following the departure of EJ Speed.  Jihaad Campbell could come in and start Day 1 alongside Zaire Franklin.

15. Falcons: Jalon Walker EDGE/LB, Georgia

Head Coach Raheem Morris has a history of dropping edge rushers into coverage.  Jalon Walker has experience both as an off ball linebacker and an edge rusher while at Georgia.

16. Cardinals: Donovan Ezeiruaku Jr. EDGE, Boston

The Cardinals still have a need for pass rushers.  Donovan Ezeiruaku has solid floor and should fit well in this Cardinals defensive scheme.

17. Bengals: Walter Nolen DT, Ole Miss

The Bengals have a clear need at defensive tackle.  Few players have the type of upside that Walter Nolen has in this class.  However, he has only recently started to tap into some of that potential.

18. Seahawks: Will Johnson CB, Michigan

There have been a lot of rumors that the Seahawks will go CB in the first round.  Adding Will Johnson would make quite the trio alongside Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon.

19. Buccaneers: Malaki Starks DB, Georgia

The Buccaneers love having versatility when it comes to their DBs.  Adding Malaki Starks to a group that already includes Antoine Winfield Jr., Tykee Smith and Christian Izien would only strengthen that.

20. Broncos: Omarion Hampton RB, North Carolina

The Broncos still have a clear need at RB.  Omarion Hampton is the clear cut RB2 in this year’s class.  This match makes perfect sense and would take some pressure off of second year QB Bo Nix.

21. Steelers: Shedeur Sander QB, Colorado

The Steelers have yet to find a clear answer at QB.  Here they take a chance on Shedeur Sanders and hope this young offensive line can give him enough time to succeed.

22. Chargers: Colston Loveland, Michigan

I have gone back and forth here for weeks between Colston Loveland and Kenneth Grant.  Both players are good fits for the Chargers.  Also, head coach Jim Harbaugh knows both players very well having coached them previously at Michigan.

23. Packers: Matthew Golden WR, Texas

The Packers haven’t drafted a WR in round 1 since Javon Walker.  Here they buck the trend and grab Matthew Golden.  Christian Watson is likely to miss time coming off of ACL Surgery.  Golden could be a nice one for one replacement in his absence.

24. Vikings: Kenneth Grant DT, Michigan

Kenneth Grant offers a rare combination of size and athleticism.  Brian Flores has a history of using his players in a variety of roles.  I would expect him to maximize both Grant’s talent and potential while also giving them a young cornerstone piece on their defensive line.

25. Texans: Emeka Egbuka WR, Ohio St.

Tank Dell is likely to miss the 2025 Season.  Yes, the Texans did trade for Christian Kirk, but he is also a one year stop gap.  Adding Emeka Egbuka to this offense should help CJ Stroud bounce back from a tough second season.  Also the two have some chemistry from their time together at Ohio St.

26. Rams: Josh Conerly Jr. OT, Oregon

This may be a luxury pick for the Rams.  However, Rob Havenstein will be 33 years old at the start of the season and is in the final year of his contract.  The Rams could afford to bring Conerly along slowly and at worst have a solid backup swing tackle during the 2025 season.

27. Ravens: Mike Green EDGE, Marshall

The Ravens have historically gone with the best player available approach.  Here they grab a good one in EDGE rusher Mike Green.  He has some off the field concerns that could cause his draft stock to slip.  However, nothing has come of the past allegations.

28. Lions: Grey Zabel OL, North Dakota St

The Lions have a need at guard following the departure of Kevin Zeitler.  Grey Zabel primarily played tackle while at North Dakota St.  However, he showed great versatility while at the Senior Bowl.  He could fill in Day 1 at guard.

29. Commanders: Mykel Williams EDGE, Georgia

The Commander improved their offensive line by trading for Laremy Tunsil.  Now their focus shifts to EDGE and CB.  Mykel Williams slides a bit here, but he would be a perfect fit in Dan Quinn’s defense.

30. Bills: Shavon Revel CB, East Carolina

The Bills do not have a ton of needs.  Do not be surprised if they are active on draft night by either trading up or down.  If they stay put I fully expect them to go with a CB.  Revel has a ton of potential, but is coming back from ACL surgery.  They do not need him to be ready on Day 1, but he could help bolster this unit long term.

31. Chiefs: Donovan Jackson OL, Ohio St

The Chiefs have a clear need along their offensive line.  Adding Jaylon Moore to play LT could pay off, but having some insurance is nice as well.  Donovan Jackson has shown the ability to play either tackle or guard at a high level.  Consider him their Joe Thuney replacement.

32. Eagles: James Pearce Jr. EDGE, Boston College

The Eagles do it again!  They are able to draft a high end talent in James Pearce Jr.  There are some concerns regarding his commitment to football, but landing in Philadelphia could be a huge boost in terms of his focus and development.
