RB 38 – Tank Bigsby
Tank Bigsby rightfully makes his debut in Mano y Mano. Some believe he is not the best running back on his team, but the early reports out of training camp suggest otherwise. He is playing with the first team, and has an opportunity to be the lead back throughout the season. Bigsby finished with 766 rushing yards (28th) and seven touchdowns (17th), and those numbers have an opportunity to go up.
He is limited in the passing game, but if he is given more opportunities, a 1,000 yard rushing season is not out of the question. He would be ranked higher but Travis Etienne Jr. and fourth round pick Bhayshul Tuten will also be involved in the offense. None the less Bigsby has tremendous value, with a ceiling that far exceeds his 11th round average draft position (ADP). Take a risk on the third year running back.
LB 38 – Andrew Van Ginkel
There was a surprise leader at the defensive line position, and it was Andrew Fan Ginkel. Not only that, he finished fourth as a linebacker in the the IDP Charity Tournament Fantasy Football Sevens (FF7s). He earned 285.1 points with 79 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 touchdowns, and 1 forced fumble. However his projection has dipped down to LB #38.
Touchdowns are rare for IDPs, and two in a year from a linebacker is even more impressive. Yet, regression is almost guaranteed for Van Ginkel, and it will not be limited to touchdowns. 11.5 sacks will be difficult to replicate, as he becomes a focal point of opposing offenses. Regardless he has tremendous upside, as was displayed last season. If Van Ginkel falls to the appropriate range he is worth a roster spot, but do not expect the numbers from last year.
