RB 37 – Omarion Hampton LAC
The first rookie to crack the list is the 22nd overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft pick Omarion Hampton. The Chargers were surprised to see him available when they were on the board, and did not hesitate grabbing him. Hampton had a great career at North Carolina University, and has a great opportunity ahead of himself. Najee Harris was brought in as a free agent, but had an unfortunate 4th of July incident that has placed him on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
If Hampton seizes this opportunity, he could become the starter and never look back. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh favors the running game and prefers a run heavy offense. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will always be a threat to take away both yards and touchdowns from the running backs. Look for Hampton to settle into a high end RB 3 as he is a rookie who must learn the ropes of the NFL before becoming a star. His ADP (RB#17) is currently too high for how he is projected, but the potential to finish higher then 37 is well within reach.
LB 37 – Cody Barton TEN
Cody Barton finds himself on a new team, his fourth in four years. He is now with the Tennessee Titans, who will need him in a new look defense. Barton will fill the void of Kenneth Murray, who is now with the Dallas Cowboys. With a rookie quarterback controlling the Titans offense, it is expected that Barton will have a high snap count. Which could lead to his best statistical season for the 2019 draft pick.
He earned 90 tackles in his last season with the Seattle Seahawks, and earned 69 tackles in 1,053 snaps with the Denver Broncos last season. He is a liability in the passing game with a 80.7% reception rate when being targeted. That could lead to more tackling opportunities, and possibly an interception or passes defended. Barton’s ADP is all over the place depending on how people feel about him. He should end up as a low end LB 3, but can move up to a high end LB 2 depending on how the Titans season goes. Look for Barton to have a decent scoring floor, with occasional spike weeks.
