RB 34 – Tyjae Spears TEN
The Tennessee Titans are still looking for their identity in the second year of Head Coach Brian Callahan’s tenure. They drafted Cam Ward to lead at quarterback, but are content with both of their running backs. One of those is Tyjae Spears, who is entering his third season. Unfortunately for Spears, he experienced a dip in production last year. He logged 558 snaps his rookie season, but only 321 last year with Callahan.
Callahan said Spears is expected to be a bigger part of the offense in 2025, and for good reason too. The Titans need to evaluate him and see if he is part of their future plans. Tony Pollard is still the lead back, but Spears could once again exceed 500 snaps. The Titans have a rookie quarterback, and could run the ball more then they did last season.
Look for Spears to set career marks in rushing attempts (100) and receptions (52) as an outlet for Ward. He is a bargain for the #41 RB ADP and #120 overall mark he is at.
LB 34 – Kenneth Murray DAL
Spears former teammate comes in at #34 this season. Kenneth Murray is on his third team in three years, but the expectation is for a great year in 2025. He managed just 71 tackles on 815 snaps with the Titans in 2024, but set a career high in sacks with four. Murray also forced a fumble and recorded an interception. The move to the Dallas Cowboys should bolster Murray as he is the best of a very mediocre linebacker group.
DeMarvion Overshown will start alongside Murray with Jack Sanborn and Marist Liufau the expected backups. It also benefits Murray that there are elite playmakers at the other levels of the Cowboys defense. Perennial Pro Bowl player Micah Parsons comes off the edge, while Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland make a lethal secondary. Murray has a real opportunity for 100 or more tackles this season, which would exceed his best season. That is great value for a linebacker few know, and he is available late or undrafted in several IDP leagues. Do not hesitate to get him.
