RB 31 Javonte Williams DAL

The Dallas Cowboys have been blessed with several outstanding running backs over the past 30 years. Part of that is great offensive line play, and this year the line could struggle. The starting left tackle, Tyler Guton, fractured a bone in his knee, and starting left guard, Rob Jones, broke a bone in his neck. Guton is expected back in four to six weeks, but Jones may not come back this season… if it all.

Javonte Williams has shown flashes of burst at Cowboys training camp, and is the expected starter. However Miles Sanders is also being discussed as a stand out, and could take the starting role. Jaydon Blue is a fan favorite as a true Texas Kid; Born and raised in Houston, went to the University of Texas, and drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. When compiling this list in July Williams was thought to be the lead back, and that is still the expected case.

Dallas will have an excellent passing game, and their will be light boxes for Williams to take advantage of. He is a risky pick, but his ADP is currently RB #35, and 108 overall. Grab Williams as a running back three and expect him to deliver without much higher of a ceiling.

LB Christian Rozeboom CAR

The Carolina Panthers signed Christian Rozeboom to a one year deal, but he is expected to have a significant role. The Panthers are thing at the position, and signed Krys Barnes to the roster for depth. Rozeboom is expected to wear the green dot, and call the plays. A job reserved for three down linebackers, and this could lead to a contract extension for Rozeboom.

The Panthers have a questionable offense which could lead to Rozeboom having a 1,000 or more snaps. He played 953 defensive snaps for the Los Angeles Rams last year, and earned 102 tackles, to pair with one sack and one interception. He should exceed those number and he could add 40-50 more tackles to the total. The Panthers are void of defense play makers, and Rozeboom will benefit from it.
