RB #22 Aaron Jones MIN

Aaron Jones is entering his ninth NFL season, and free agent addition Jordan Mason is being hyped. However Jones is the starter. It’s easy to write off running backs as they enter their ninth season, but Jones is a proven exception. He played 17 games last season, and earned 1,546 scrimmage yards. It was his third time to do so, and has five seasons with 1,190 or more yards.

Mason is a good running back, but Jones is a more complete package. Last season Jones rushed for 1,138 yards and earned 5 rushing touchdowns. He also was targeted 62 times, and earned 51 receptions for 408 yards and 2 touchdowns. JJ McCarthy is not a rookie, but will be in his first NFL action this season. Jones will be a reliable dump off, and panic throw outlet in the same offense as last season.

Jones was RB 16 last season (0.5 PPR) and a small dip in production is expected. He has an opportunity to increase his receptions, and lay a great base in full PPR leagues. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Jones produce RB 16 or better numbers once again. A mid level RB 2 is the prediction, but that is the floor. Look for Jones to have big spike games as well.

LB #22 Alex Singleton DEN

Alex Singleton was on pace to be LB #1 last season, before tearing his ACL. He played just three weeks, but played 100% of the snaps, averaged 10 points per game, and recorded an interception. He is expected back before the start of the season, but is also dealing with a recent thumb surgery. He was out for a week, but is back at practice and expected to play week one.

Singleton has been an excellent linebacker for Vance Joseph, and if healthy is top five at his position. He has recorded over 110 tackles in five consecutive seasons, and over 150 in two healthy Denver Bronco seasons. The defense is loaded with talent, and Singleton can focus on his assignment. He is tackle reliant for scoring and in leagues which are tackle point heavy, he is a must.

Take a chance on Singleton as he has the ability to be a league winning IDP.
