RB #19 Brian Robinson Jr. WAS

The Washington Commanders declined Brian Robinson Jr.’s fifth year option, and Robinson has something to prove. The preseason admiration has been on Commanders rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, but Robinson is still the projected starer. Austin Ekeler is also on the roster, but Robinson Jr. is the biggest of the three backs and should receive the bulk of the work.

In 13 starts Robinson scored 8 touchdowns and recorded 958 scrimmage yards. Ekeler was their primary pass catching back, but Robinson did catch twenty passes. His 799 rushing yards was a career high, and he was on pace to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards. He started all three of Washington’s playoff matches, and was a key component to their success. He rushed for 129 yards and scored 2 touchdowns during their playoff run.

Teammate Jayden Daniels is no longer a rookie, and every opposing defensive coordinator will game plan for him going forward. This should benefit Robinson with more rushes in light boxes, and audibles at the line of scrimmage. His ADP is currently RB #29 and 81 overall, but his upside is much higher. Look for Robinson to have a career year as he seeks his second NFL contract.

LB #19 Jordyn Brooks MIA

Jordyn Brooks is entering his second season with the Miami Dolphins and is the shining star of their defense. He is a tackle machine with 111 or more combined tackles in every season but his rookie year. He has started every game over the past four years, and despite not having the “green dot” is still a three down linebacker.

Brooks played 1,110 snaps last season, 814 of which were in the box. He recorded 143 combined tackles last season, and if the Dolphins offense is once again bad, he will have a high snap and tackle count. He also recorded three sacks last season, and has 7.5 in his last two years. He also recorded 11 tackles for loss, 6 quarterback hits, and 6 passes defended. Brooks has been actively targeted in the passing game, but has 22 passes defended over his career due to it.

The former Texas Tech Raider is a solid floor linebacker who could be a top ten linebacker. Drafting Brooks puts a tackling machine with big play upside on your roster. Draft him early with confidence.
